“Dedication to authenticity and originality of a traditional art form is a sacred vow, where every stroke, every note, and every movement honors the essence of heritage, preserving its purity while embracing the spirit of innovation.” – Shyama Warrier
Shyama Warrier’s journey into the realm of classical dance commenced at a tender age, nurtured by the rich cultural tapestry that surrounded her. Beginning with the foundational steps of Bharatanatyam with Smt. Suni Venugopal , Shyama’s passion for the art blossomed, culminating in her arangetram at the age of twelve. Her artistic odyssey took a multifaceted turn as the graceful allure of Mohiniyattam captivated her interest, leading her to immerse herself deeply in both art forms under the tutelage of Guru Rangaprathibha Gireesh. She has also trained for short while with Guru Maalika Panicker in Singapore. Presently, she continues her studies under the mentorship of Guru M.K. Giri and Guru P.T. Narendran.
